Are you scared to death? Nearly everyone would say “no,” but the truth would reveal that a lot of them are wrong. Everyone experiences anger, irritability, stress, anxiety, bitterness, unforgiveness, rejection, low self-worth, and temptation, among other negative thoughts feelings, or beliefs, but it is not normal or healthy to experience them every day.
The body does not have a single mechanism for the negative, so when it experiences negative thoughts, feelings, and beliefs and the person is not in imminent physical danger of death, this causes a malfunction. Every negative comes from fear of the past, present or future, heavily influenced by the interpretation of memories of past events. You cannot and should not try to change your true memories of the events in your past, but you can reframe your interpretation of those events by choosing the path of love over the path of fear. In order to neutralize these lies and live the truth, you must prioritize right relationships in the present moment.
After this episode, ask yourself “Am I scared to death without even knowing it?” Take the Relationship Issues Finder test and thoughtfully pray through the situations in your life where you are experiencing the negative over the positive. Honestly consider what percentage of your experiences are characterized by the positive and the negative.

Dr. Alex’s topic on today’s call is balance. What comes to mind first when you think of “balance”? You likely think of physical balance, work/life balance, relationship balance, financial stability, spiritual balance, or the balance of your brain chemistry. But what if those things only come as a result of being truly balanced in the only place it really matters: your relationship with God? You will find that your most profound experiences in life come at what seem to me the least balanced times: in the middle of the night, when a relationship is in trouble, when you have lost your job, etc.
How important to you are your brain and nervous system? They are absolutely critical to all areas of your life: things you want and things you don’t want. Recent research has shown that the #1 most healing thing for your brain and nervous system is to be in relationship with God. Above and beyond all else, your relationship with God has the power to give you true balance in your life, no matter what your circumstances, because God is above and beyond your circumstances. It may sound crazy to everyone but you, but if you are following what you know that God has told you to do, He will take care of everything else. Likewise, if you are not in a relationship with God, nothing else in your life has any hope of achieving balance.
So try it! Plug into a right relationship with God and see the improvement in your neurological functioning and every other aspect of your life.

Today’s topic is “become a hero today”, a simple but not simplistic topic that Dr. Alex unpacks for us. Spend some time thinking about someone who has had a positive impact on your life; perhaps they kept you from a bad situation or they gave you hope for the future, they were responsible for your success, contentment, or happiness in some sense. You have the opportunity to be someone’s hero, just has this person has been for you.
A hero acts in love in spite of fear or their own problems. The way to become a hero is by consistently adding love to whatever you are doing, which will transform everyday interactions from something that you “have to” do into something that you “want to” do. By giving up control of the end result in any given situation, you remove the stress from it and experience only happiness. At the end of our lives, the only things that will matter to us are the impacts that we had on the world and the relationships we had with the people we love.
Love says: “I will sacrifice ____ for the good of ____ no matter the result.”
Fear says: “I will do ____ so that I will get ____.” (Which is manipulation).
Your homework after this episode is to consider the question: “Who in your life is waiting for you to be a hero?”

On today’s episode, Dr. Alex shares the spiritual law of nature called “Trying is Not Enough.” The dictionary defines trying as “an attempt to achieve” and Dr. Alex would link this directly to our willpower. Everyone wants to be successful, but 90% of people fail to reach their goals of success because they have a problem with what they are trying to do or how they are trying to do it.
There are things, such as brushing our teeth or getting dressed, over which we have 100% control. We do not have to try to do these things because they take no effort. But most things in life – especially things in the future – we do not have 100% control over, no matter how much we try. The key to succeeding is actually giving up control and surrendering the end result. By focusing on the present moment and living in love, joy, and peace, you can give up control of your circumstances to God and your brain will produce love-based hormones. This will allow you to effortlessly flow towards success rather than constantly pushing each situation to be what you want. This is paradoxical and unnatural, but when you learn how to do it, it will change your life.

On this episode, Dr. Alex shares with us the conflict resolution formula. Very few people actually enjoy conflict, but by using this formula, you can learn not to dread it, and perhaps even look forward to it. In this spiritual conflict resolution formula, you may lose what you want in order to win what you really want.
Step 1: Pray with a sincere heart for the situation, yourself, and the other person.
Step 2: Speak to the person directly. Do not talk to others about the person or situation.
Step 3: Find out the objective truth about the situation; this includes the perspectives of yourself, the other person, God, and others. Face and accept the truth and desire success for yourself and the other person.
Step 4: Be as wise as a serpent and as gentle as a dove (Matthew 10:16).
Step 5: Come to a mutually beneficial conclusion that will give you a better relationship than you had before this conflict. This conclusion should be a win/win for your relationship and the circumstance.
Step 6: Be willing to lose what you want to win what you really want. Your true desire is love, joy, and peace, so you may have to surrender lesser desires to ensure that you never give these things up. Even if this means that the conflict takes longer to resolve, it is worth it.

Ramanujan was a mathematician who grew up in poverty in India (Ramajuan movie: The man who knew infinity.
He gained recognition by solving the math problem known as partitions at a very young age, which everyone in the field had deemed unsolvable. What makes Ramanujan truly different is that he frequently told people that all of his math insights came to him from God. He said that “any formula is meaningless unless it expressed a truth related to God” and that everyone believes in God but some just believe that He doesn’t like them.
Likewise, Einstein spoke of God as the “force that governs all others” and that love is light, gravity, it is of God, and it has unlimited power. Towards the end of his life, he emphasized that God gave him his abilities and intellect and that all things should bring God glory. Neurosurgeons have conducted research that proves that belief in God can heal or prevent illnesses. Additionally, John the Apostle of Jesus used love as the theme of all of his writings in the New Testament.
Your homework after this episode is:
- Research these people and consider what they believed.
- Weigh the evidence and come to your own conclusion.
- If you decide to believe in God (like 97%) of the world, determine if you are living like you believe. Evaluate your daily relationship with God.
- See the difference it can make in your life.

On this episode, Dr. Alex discusses “your worst day over and over.” Imagine that you have to watch a virtual reality video replaying the worst day of your life for you and everyone else to see 24/7. The emotional and physical tolls that this would take on your life, your work, your relationships, and ultimately your body would be detrimental, even leading to you to an untimely death due to stress-induced disease.
The good news is that God has made you with a conscious and an unconscious, so you do not have to relive your worst memories over and over, even though they are still inside your mind. This is the positive side of suppression and repression, but the bad news is that if you continually suppress and repress these memories, you will continually believe the lies that have sprouted as a result of your interpretation of those memories. The only way to avoid this pressure cooker of negativity bursting and taking you down a path of lies and despair is to properly deal with your bad memories and reinterpret them by using the codes and replacing fear with love, lies with truth, and darkness with light.
Your homework after this episode is to ask yourself these questions:
1. What are the worst days of my life? Did something happen to me? Did I do something?
2. Do they still bother me?
3. What do I need to do in order to release, forgive, and heal, according to the truth?

Today, Dr. Alex talks about the one question diagnosis for most everything that’s bad. There is one common thread that connects people from professional athletes to the average Joe: whether or not they take credit, for good or bad things. When professional athletes do post-game interviews or just debrief with their teammates after the game, you can tell that the ones who take credit for their accomplishments during the game do not find as much joy in it as those who don’t take credit for their accomplishments.
On the other hand, by nature we are all prone to blaming ourselves for the bad things that we do, and consequently feeling shame, inferiority, or other bad feelings as a result. If we “take credit” for the root issue that caused us to do those things, we will find much less joy than if we place the credit where it belongs. Dr. Alex’s breakthrough moment in his personal faith journey with Jesus occurred when reading the ancient manuscript of Romans chapter 7, which clarifies that sin is a splinter within every person, not the identity of the person. Additionally, the sin within each person causes them to do bad things, so no one can truly take credit for good or bad things.
You are made in the image of God, who is good, so you are inherently good, and believing the truth about your identity will lead you away from the path of death and onto the path of life.

Dr. Alex’s topic on this episode is “how to find out what somebody is really thinking (including yourself).” How would it change your life if you could read minds or if you knew exactly what was going on in your own mind all the time? You can learn the truth about what someone is thinking by looking at their actions – what they do is more trustworthy than what they say. You always do what you believe over time, and you never do anything that you don’t believe. This means that even when you have conflicting beliefs, your heart will win the battle between your head and heart every time. In order to change your actions and thoughts, you have to change the underlying belief by reprogramming your mind.
Besides observing your own life, you may also find success in observing the life of your spouse or another person with whom you are in a close relationship. By openly communicating with them, observing their actions and attitudes when you ask them to do something, waiting to act until you see their actions back up their words over time, and asking something that requires a response, you will get a greater glimpse of what they are thinking and ultimately what they believe.
This week’s homework is to ask yourself these questions:
- What is not working for me?
- What do I think consciously?
- What are my actions?
